TRON: UPRISING PROPS AND FX

         The Tron: Uprising project for Disney XD was one of the best shows I've worked on.  To be honest, though the concept process was intense and often difficult, I found it extremely freeing and self
expressive.  The Tron world was so undefined that it really challenged my imagination.  And coupled with the direction of producer/director, Charlie Bean, I think we really pushed the envelope in animated action adventure.
     As far as props and fx, I've always been proud of my refusal to do what's been done before and the "Grid" lent to this.  So it was a perfect fit. 

      Little known fact- I was the first artist hired on this project to help sell the idea to executives.

                                          
                                   
                               

diving mech

sometimes you gotta post even when you're not totally finished.  i was afraid i was never going to finish this one.

so decided to post unfinished.  was very happy with the face. now i can start another and not finish that one.

boondocks bgs.

these are some backgrounds for boondocks. this was the first show that i used these great little japanese pens to clean up with. i forget the name and keep them all at work. oh well. i will post again with the name.

these are some designs from the cg animated transformers: prime. the original sketches of the bots were done by the excellent character designer, jose lopez. i just added detail and painted them. the vehicles are all me.
